Carole's Place sleeps a maximum of 8 guests. The master bedroom has a king size bed - full bath - open the windows and let the salt air and soothing sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep, and a 3/4 bath in the hall with W&D to use. The second bedroom has a full size bed; third bedroom has two twin beds. The living room offers two love seat hide-a-beds. The kitchen has all of the cooking amenities to prepare meals at this home away from home.
Pack a picnic and walk the private path directly on to the beach. Bring a volley ball or badminton net and have some fun in the large back yard. BBQ steaks while you watch all of the fun, on the charcoal grill - bring your coals and steaks!
Return to downtown Long Beach and visit the well known, historic SCOOPERS for old fashion ice cream cones, sundaes and floats. Visit the famous Marsh's Museum and see Jake the Alligator Man. During the summer Ilwaco hosts a Farmer's Market showcasing home-made gifts, breads/pastries/candy and unique crafts and art work. There are antique stores, art galleries and a bookstore to browse as well. While you're in Ilwaco visit Cape Disappointment, Waikiki Beach and the North head Lighthouse.
There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. If you drive north from the house to Ocean Park there are bookstores, restaurants and gift stores and more beaches to explore. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay. There’s lots of wildlife to see in our local parks. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles – we see many of them here.
