Applegate Beach Cottage is a snug and comy home in Long Beach -- an easy walk to beach activities or downtown. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and, of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.

Applegate Beach Cottage is on a quiet cul-de-sac and has a fenced yard. There are two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other has 2 queen beds. Both bedrooms have TV. The queen bedroom with its own bath with shower. The hall bath has a tub shower. There’s a living room with cable TV and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher, plus a breakfast bar. There’s a dining area with a curio cabinet, too. For your comfort, Sandcastle is no smoking please. One pet is allowed at the Cottage, but please keep your pet on leash when leaving the yard and don’t leave him alone in the house if you leave. The very best off-leash area is the beach.
